Heritage360 specialises in creating engaging, easily-managed websites for heritage organisations, visitor attractions and academic projects.

Our websites are designed with mobile usage in mind and adhere to the latest guidance on accessibility. We also make use of cutting-edge content management systems to help our clients take control of their online presence without the need for prior web design experience.

All of our web projects benefit from ongoing support options, ensuring that websites remain secure and our clients receive advice and training whenever required. We offer domain registration and hosting on secure, efficient servers, including up-front payment for grant-funded projects that have no capacity for ongoing fees.

For more information on our web services, see below.

Design

Design is a critical aspect of any web project. Our websites are created in-house and utilise bespoke graphics and interfaces that complement the content they present. As part of the design process, we can either incorporate existing branding or help to create new branding, including colour palettes, fonts and logos.

Our designs are created with accessibility in mind and are based around the guidance provided by the Worldwide Web Committee (W3C). The websites we produce therefore adhere to the accessibility requirements of all major funding bodies and academic grant-making organisations.

As part of our web service we offer advice and expertise on structuring content for web delivery. We also specialise in rationalising existing web resources to improve clarity, consistency and navigability.

Multimedia, social media and interactivity

Modern websites incorporate many different tools and facilities - maps, video, social media feeds and virtual tours are just a few.

Heritage360 can help identify the facilities most useful to your organisation or project. We can integrate existing social media accounts or help create new accounts where appropriate. Our expertise in digital media creation covers:

  • video and animated content
  • social media integration
  • 3D models
  • interactive maps and geographical/locational details
  • virtual photographic tours
  • searchable online databases
  • interactive games

Management and monitoring

All Heritage360 websites are built upon easy-to-use content management systems. This ensures that after development and delivery, our clients have full control over content creation without the need for any prior web expertise. Content management can scale from a single editing account through to many accounts tailored to different team members or restricted to specific content.

We are also able to provide tools to help monitor website usage, including statistics platforms such as Google Analytics.  Likewise, search engine optimisation (SEO) is a key component of the our content management platforms and we are able to offer additional advice to ensure websites are as visible as possible.

Hosting and domain registration

We offer secure hosting and domain registration for all of our web projects, although we are also able to work within existing hosting arrangements if required.

Our hosting and domain registration packages begin at £200 p/a, and include security and maintenance updates where required – see ‘Support’, below.

Support

Heritage360 provides both written guidance and video tutoring sessions to ensure our clients are comfortable with managing content.

We provide ongoing support for all web projects that covers:

  • regular security updating to content management systems
  • quick-response error fixing
  • advice and consultation on web issues such as content management or new approaches
  • refresher content management training
